Hannah Dawsonproducts/Hannah.jpgproducts/Hannah.jpg- Remedial Massage Therapist

I am a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist who studied at the Canberra Institute of Technology. I have my Advanced Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapies and am a member of the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT). I have a strong interest in the sporting field and believe in providing lasting, effective treatments for my clients, while providing them with the knowledge and tools to manage and correct their own conditions. I am qualified to perform remedial, relaxation, deep tissue, sports, pregnancy and lymphatic drainage massage treatments.

Conor Robinson  - Remedial Massage Therapist

Being a Remedial Massage Therapist is a passion. I originally entered the profession on a whim, but quickly developed a love for not only the practice of Massage itself, but of helping my clients to achieve the best that they can. I endeavour to increase the quality of life of my clients through not only the Massage itself, but with knowledge and information as well. This allows my clients to take control and make positive changes, affecting not only levels of pain, tension or discomfit, but also confidence and well-being.

As well as being a Remedial Massage Therapist, I am highly involved in Martial Arts, teaching and training just about every night of the week. I find that this has brought my a greater understanding of the human body, and I try to bring this knowledge into any Massage treatment. Whilst textbooks and other written knowledge are essential in this line of work, I tend to find that personal experience in dealing with stress, pain and injuries is also an integral part of providing an effective and lasting treatment.

I am passionate about providing the best levels of treatment possible, and nothing makes me happier than being the conduit that allows my clients to overcome pain, injuries and adversity.

Joel Segaert- Remedial Massage Therapist

I qualified as a Remedial Massage Therapist from Nature Care College in Sydney in 2010.  I take pride in my work and enjoy the more rehabilitative aspect of treatments to aid people into getting back on their feet. I can do a variety of treatments which include: remedial, sports, relaxation/deep tissue and also various active and passive stretches, which I find very effective. I'm also a member of the Association of Massage Therapists.

Sandra Reardon - Remedial Massage Therapist

I am a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and Naturopath, fully trained in both nutrition and herbal medicine. I have been working for the past four years as a Remedial Massage Therapist and as a Naturopath for almost two, and have recently moved to Canberra from Hobart where I completed my studies at the Tasmanian Polytechnic.

I have gained several years experience working from a large massage and pilates centre overlooking the beautiful waterfrontge of Hobart in Salamanca, and as a Naturopath and Natural Health Advisor for pharmacy and wellbeing centre, alongside a host of other healthcare professionals. I have also spent time working in a physiotherapy clinic and trackside at athletic training sessions and events. I am fully trained in remedial, sports, relaxation, deep tissue, lymphatic and pregnancy massage, and am currently studying hot stone massage.

I am passionate about preventative health and wellbeing, and bring about a wholostic healing experience to my treatments utilising bodywork, nutritional, herbal and lifestyle advice. I believe that health is not merely the absence of dis-ease, but can be a vibrant state of wellbeing, and I enjoy assisting my clients in working towards their health goals. I am a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society and am a provider for all health funds.

Mitch Hanigan - Remedial Massage Therapist

I have my advanced Diploma in soft tissue therapies from the Canberra institute of technology and am a member of Massage Australia. I am able to perform relaxation massage, lymphatic drainage, pregnancy massage and remedial massage techniques including myofascial release and trigger point therapy. My treatments not only aim to alleviate symptoms but to also educate clients about themselves in a musculoskeletal sense, so we can work together to produce a desired, long lasting result.

Rebekah Walker - Deep tissue/ Relaxation Massage Therapist

I have been working with Massage for Health since mid 2009 as a Relaxation/Deep Tissue Therapist.  During this time I have discovered my passion for finding those hidden knots within muscles. I use a range of techniques to eliminate them, which have proven to be successful with many of my clients. I have a particular heart for clients who are stressed and carrying emotional tension, which can lead to muscle tightness, decreased range of movement and headaches.  On completion of each treatment it is always my hope to see clients leave the clinic feeling rejuvenated and experiencing a greater quality of life.

Nick Murray-  Remedial Massage Therapist

I've been treating at Massage for Health since April 2010. In addition to gaining a Diploma of Remedial Massage at CIT, I've also studied with the Stretch Therapy team at ANU, am a qualified gym instructor and am a Level 1 sports trainer through Sports Medicine Australia. I have experience in running and weight training, and I blend skills from these backgrounds as part of my treatments. to enable people to recover from muscular aches and pains and allow them to participate in their favourite activities.

My approach to massage and soft-tissue work is educational - by teaching and demonstrating correct movement, stretching and clinical exercise techniques, I can show you how to take the benefits of remedial massage and soft-tissue treatments and create lasting changes in your body.

I am qualified in:

* remedial massage - treatment for specific conditions, including tennis/golfer's elbow,  carpal tunnel syndromes, stiff backs, sore feet (to name a few!)

* myofascial release - for general stiffness and movement restriction

* relaxation and deep-tissue massage - ideal for aching shoulders and necks.

* manual lymphatic drainage - useful for post-injury and post-operative recovery, especially for lower-limb injuries or for reducing oedema in ladies who have had a mastectomy.

* sports massage - pre-event warmups, and post-event fatigue recovery.

* pregnancy massage - ideal for ladies needing relief from all those aches and pains encountered during pregnancy.

* baby massage - I can show you a simple sequence for introducing your bub to the joys of touch.

I also use Auslan and have several Deaf clients.

Elliot Morschel Remedial Massage Therapist

I have experience in the treatment of workplace injuries and stress related symptoms.

Jen McGurgan -  Remedial Massage Therapist

I am a qualified Remedial therapist and have a certificate 3 in fitness, graduating both from the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT). I will be studying my Advanced Diploma of Soft Tissue therapy in 2012 and I am also a member of Association of Massage Therapists (AMT). I teach dancing stretch classes and will be instructing some stretch classes at the Live Life Well Studio. I enjoy working with my clients to assist them in achieving the long lasting result they are looking for as well as improving quality of life and overall wellbeing.
I have particular interest in sports massage but I enjoy performing all types of massage that I am qualified in including; pregnancy massage, remedial  massage, lymphatic drainage, relaxation, deep tissue therapy and sports.
In addition to this I am quite involved with sport; I have played soccer for 10 years (until I broke my ankle), I am currently playing netball and touch football and have been dancing for 14 year in various types of dancing including; jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop and contemporary. I have performed in dance troupes representing my studio around Australia, so I can understand the pressures of having to perform with or without injury. This is why I have a strong passion for working with sporting injuries and sporting maintenance.

Cancellation policy

We do not charge rescheduling fees, but we do charge cancellation fees. Cancellation fees are charged at a flat $40 for any appointment that is cancelled with less than four hours notice.

Unfortunately our therapists are contractors and are not paid if you don't turn up for your appointment. This is a common scenario in the massage industry. Please put yourself in your therapist's position and imagine how you would feel if you had wasted some very valuable time that you won't be getting paid for?

By charging cancellation fees, we will now be in a position to reimburse our staff when you cancel an appointment with less than four hours notice. You will be sent an invoice in the mail or charged the fee at your next visit.
